Circles farm students work in small teams of mixed ages and abilities in order to achieve a Level 1 BTEC in Work-Skills.

Our team re-engage people in learning, primarily focusing on building self-esteem and confidence through vocational training and team work. We are a not-for-profit organisation and are entirely self-funded. We offer the space and freedom to participate in real life projects, helping individuals to take ownership of their own learning development. We entrust our learners with a lot of responsibility allowing them to understand and appreciate acceptable behaviour.

A typical day at Circles Farm :

Arrival 09:15-09:30 Tea & Toast - discuss the day ahead.
Session 1 09:30-10:45 Feed & health check small animals.
Break 10:45-11:00 Quick snack after a busy morning.
Session 2 11.00-12:30 Allotment for horticulture portfolio work & harvest.
Lunch 12:30-13:00 A cook-out in the woods with harvested produce.
Session 3 13:00-14:30 Continue with the pig enrichment project, tidy workspace and check all animals have got water for the night.


Accredited Learning: Work Skills BTEC Qualification

The Work Skills BTEC helps equip learners with essential skills to function in employment and in life.

A variety of units are available across the four skills pathways: Personal Life Skills, Sustainable Employability Skills, Work Placement Skills and Skills for Business. Level 1 qualifications can gain GCSE equivalence. Please click here to view a list of Work Skills BTEC units.
